Group Breastfeeding Basics Class
$25 (per couple--partners are encouraged to attend!)
Learn the basics before you have
your baby! These classes are offered monthly to expectant parents.
This two and a half hour class will cover the following topics and more:
- How birth practices impact early breastfeeding.
- How to get breastfeeding off to a good start.
- Understanding how the breasts make milk.
- Maximizing milk production.
- Easy ways to ensure baby is latched well.
- How to make sure baby is getting enough while breastfeeding.
- Common concerns at various ages and stages--from birth to weaning.
- Coping with periods of separation from baby (work, school, etc.)
- Incorporating breastfeeding into your life.
- Transitioning to parenthood.
- Avoiding difficulties.
